Is Bethel Better Because of Me?
I hope your children are as excited as we are to start a new school year. Every August comes with new opportunities for growth and achievement.
The theme for this year is “Is Bethel Better Because of Me?” I know I am biased, but Bethel Grade School is a pretty great place to be. I hope to reinforce with our students and staff the idea that greatness starts with us individually. When each person strives to make Bethel better, it becomes contagious, and awesome things can happen. Some of the smallest actions make a difference. Picking up trash that’s not yours, being a classroom helper, or playing with a kid who has no one to play with are just a few examples of small actions that make a big difference.
So I will be asking our kids, Is Bethel Better Because of Me? It will be on each bathroom mirror to remind each kid that they are the difference maker in our school. I hope you can make this a family conversation at home as well.
If you are looking for a way to be a difference maker, our PTO would love to have you. This amazing group serves our students and staff in ways that add color and personality to the school building. Please consider getting involved.
Bethel is proud to offer some new services to our students and families this year. If you have not yet downloaded our app, please do so. Our families have asked us to communicate about school events and important information from a central location and this was our solution. We have also upgraded our website and will be in sync with all the information on the app. I hope you find it useful and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Last year our community voted for a replacement of the old K-2 wing of the building. This project is moving forward. The Farnsworth Group was recently selected as our architect and we will be sharing any exciting news about the construction of the building as we go.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. I can be reached in the office by phone at 244-8095 and by email at ccass@bethelschool.net. Thank you for trusting us with your children and we will do our best to make this a great year.
Respectfully,
Charley Cass
