At last night's regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting, the following action took place.
The Consent Agenda was approved consisting of Approval of agenda, Approval and signing of the minutes of the regular meeting on November 19, 2024, Approve bills, payroll, and Treasurer’s Report, and an Adoption of a resolution for the Abatement of Alternate Revenue Bond. Please note that the last item is done each year and is related to the bonds that were sold to build the cafeteria. Only one year of payments remain on these bonds.
The Board adopted the 2024 tax levy.
The Board approved the FY24 financial audit.
The Board accepted a trash service bid from Republic Services.
The Board tabled a resolution supporting the Vision 2030 Initiative.
The Board entered closed session for approximately six minutes.
After returning from closed session, the board approved Candace McGhee as the PeeWee Cheer Coach. They also approved Kelsey Frees and Eric Shelton as assistant peewee basketball coaches.
Mr. Cass gave his superintendent's report that included praise for the volunteer shoppers and donors for our annual Kohl's shopping trip.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board will be January 23rd at 5:30 in the board room.
