At last night's regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education, the following action took place.
The Board approved of the Consent Agenda consisting of Approval of agenda, Approving and signing the minutes of the regular meeting on January 23, 2025, and a special meeting on February 17, 2025, Approval of the bills, payroll, and Treasurer’s Report.
The Board discussed the 25-26 school calendar and its approval at the next board meeting.
The Board approved the amended school calendar for 24-25. The last day for student attendance is May 30th. Using any more emergency days would take us beyond that date.
The Board set the 8th grade graduation date for May 21st, 2025.
The Board declined to entertain electrical rate bids for the time being.
The Board entered closed session for approximately 20 minutes.
The Board authorized the posting of an Assistant Track Coach for this spring.
Mr. Cass gave his Superintendent's report which included a preview of the upcoming school carnival, the upcoming BETA Convention and our Jefferson County basketball All-Stars.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:16.
Additional note: The Board will hold another special meeting to discuss the the building addition on March 24th at 5:30.
