Middle school made origami cranes representing healing. As a memorial to those who lost their life in 9/11 and to those countries like Japan who made cranes like these at ground zero to show their support to our country. We also learned because of it when Japan had their devastating tsunami, America sent a steel oragami style crane made from the scraps of the twin towers to show support to them.

Attention Parents and Families: We get a lot of requests for students to ride a different bus home with another student. This is okay, but we need to change the way we do this. We get lots of these calls and relaying the messages at multiple times of the day can confuse the staff, kids, and drivers. If you need your child to ride on a different bus or be dropped off at a different stop, please write us a note that is signed by a parent or guardian. The student should give the driver this note so they know where to take them. Thank you in advance for your help on this.

This week's favorite answers to, "What did you do this week to make Bethel better?" I helped a little kid find his homeroom when he was lost. I picked up toys on the playground that weren't mine. I ran for Student Council. I picked up trash that was left on the bathroom floor. These might be little things, but they add up to a school we can be proud of. 18 free tacos from Taco Bell were given away to kids who wanted to share their good deeds.
